Dear supporters,

In the Rear View Mirror

What a grand start to the new year! As many of you know, we have been living here in Charleston, SC with my (Nathan) parents until we leave for the field. We have thoroughly enjoyed being in one place for longer than just a few days.

Because of our continued stay, we have been able to be a part of our sending church in so many ways. From leading the music during services to arranging special activities at the church we have been blessed with the opportunity to truly get involved in the ministry (this is something both Megumi and I have greatly missed during our travels).

This month, we were able to put together a small food fellowship with the young people here in Charleston. We had several guests who had never been to the church and was a fantastic opportunity to get to meet them and introduce them to the church and pastor.

I have also had the opportunity to help in the continual building projects around the building. Currently, the main foyer is being renovated.

The Road Ahead

This month is the last month we will be in the United States for quite some time. We leave the country in just a few short weeks on February 28th. This coming weekend we will be bringing all of our household goods on a moving truck to Maine to load them onto a shipping container.

The timing of this move will prayerfully have the container arriving very close to the same time that we will be landing in Iceland. On the 19th of this month, I will be ordained into the ministry at our sending church.

What an honor to be sent by such a great church that fully approves of what God has called us to do.

Prayer Request

With so many moving parts during this move, any one of them could send the whole process into a burning tailspin. Please join us in prayer that God would help us to see this through smoothly.

We also have a few last-minute things to attend to. If you would also join us in praying that all we need to accomplish would be arranged at the appropriate time.

Sincerely,
The Sears Family
