In the Rear View Mirror
In the past month, there have been several incredible highlights our life. My wife and I are overjoyed to share the wonderful news of her pregnancy. It’s a blessing that fills our hearts with immense joy and anticipation for the journey to come. Additionally, I (Nathan) had the privilege of leading a young man named Godwind to the Lord during a summer camp (picture right). Witnessing someone place their trust in Jesus Christ is truly a fulfilling and encouraging experience. Additionally, the summer camp itself was a tremendous success, with a total of 11 young individuals making the decision to trust Christ as their personal Savior. It was a time filled with inspiring messages, uplifting fellowship, and opportunities for young people to hear about God and His love. Summer camp has served as a catalyst for growth and deepening faith, leaving a lasting impact on all who attended.
The Road Ahead
We are very excited about this month’s events. We are anticipating the Larson Family who will be coming on their survey trip as another family coming to Iceland as missionaries. God has already worked in their hearts to call them to Iceland and they have already begun their deputation journey. Please pray that God opens their eyes to the needs of Iceland and how they can be used to help spread the gospel. Near the end of the month, we will be having a team of over 30 people come to Iceland to accomplish several projects around the church property as well as distributing church invitations to the surrounding towns. Please pray that God would bless the efforts of these invitations and that we would accomplish more than we thought possible.
Fun Fact
One fascinating fun fact about Iceland is that it is home to the world’s oldest parliament, known as the Alpingi. Established in 930 AD, it is considered the oldest continuously functioning parliamentary institution in the world, showcasing Iceland’s rich democratic history. Today, the Alpingi continues to operate in Reykjavik, the capital city symbolizing Iceland’s commitment to democratic governance.
